About Me
The intention as I confront the viewer with any of my pieces, is to
generate an impulse, an emotion, a reaction. Rather then validate my
art work announcing my experience, the number of shows, my school even
my awards. Art is a human representation of the human acts and
behavior. My objective is to achieve the most accurate personalized
version of the facts. when that happens? When it generated a reaction
from the viewer.
the strongest the reaction the better is the piece of art.
GREDAR
GREDAR Controversial, prolific and profound.
A multi-faceted artist. Painter and sculptor proficient in a variety of skills and techniques.
Formal training for many styles of artistic expression includes a focus
in foundry and metal-works as well as specialized welding.
A Bachelor of Technology degree earned in 1994 led to an outstanding casting award.
In the year 2000, after a university Master of Fine Arts degree was
obtained, GREDAR then became a full-time professional artist doing
freelance and commissioned pieces of sculpture.
Over the past two decades, key works of art were shown in New York, Miami, , Amsterdam, Madrid, Sydney, and now Vancouver.
Artworks
have included geometric architecturally designed stained glass pieces,
murals, modern paintings, terracotta sculptures, installations, custom
lighting fixtures, as well as metal and concrete sculptures including a
highly acclaimed bronze commissioned piece reaching over 8 feet high
and weighing over one ton.
GREDAR has a bright future ahead
with plans to create important indoor pieces of sculpture on a large
scale in addition to outdoor pieces made of concrete, resin and metal.
The formal education and hands on training added to a natural talent
for sculpture, will allow Hermann to hone his professional skills and
tools to one day become a Master sculptor.
He hopes you enjoy his works of sculpture and find in them enjoyment and meaning that is special to you, the viewer.
