No, not in the coast guard, born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska. Worked on a fishing boat for a few years and started drawing boats. You have some great work, I've always admired photography.

The tree is my favourite as well. i actually have a post about that piece in the forums in the painting section of the 'finished masterpieces' area of the boards. I am wanting to expand on the idea, and am looking for feedback, both on the painting and as far as ideas for sister works. You should check it out!
